Our Funding Priority
We won’t compromise on the conditions that we create for people who deliver counselling. We think that the best therapy happens when everyone in the counselling room is cared for.
Training to be a counsellor is expensive. Course fees, insurance costs, travel expenses and mandatory supervision are some of the things that are paid out of pocket.
We think that trainee counsellors should have all expenses related to the voluntary hours that they provide covered and the chance to learn more about the communities they work in. It definitely shouldn’t cost people money to give up their time to help our communities.
Our crowd funder is about helping us turn that into a reality - with £3,000, we can pay a year’s worth of trainee expenses and put more than one hundred hours of counselling into a community.
